I discovered this sign while traveling west on the Lincoln Highway heading toward Gettysburg. I was actually looking for LIncoln Highway markers and found this one by accident. I pulled over on the side street about 25 yards or so further west.
The sign reads:

Union Church
One Mile North
Built in 1849, stands
third building of
these congregations.
Organized in 1747.
