This is a 1 acre park in Redgranite, which originally was named DOWNTOWN PARK. The Land was purchased for $20.00 in 1882 for a school. A three-story Yellow School was built on the site which was razed in 1948. A MURAL was dedicated in 1970 to the history of Redgranite These words are on the mural CHILDREN ARE OUR MESSENGERS WE SEND INTO A FUTURE WE WILL NEVER SEE.
