The information sign on this tank reads:

Medium Tank (M48A2)

The M48 Medium tank entered service in 1953 as a replacement for the Army's M47 "Patton" medium tank. It was of completely new design - longer than the M47, with a new air-cooled engine, a new transmission, and the latest developments in fire-control devices. In addition to its 90mm main gun, the M48 included a .50 caliber anit-aircraft machine gun and coaxially-mounted 7.62mm machine gun. Subsequent versions, such as the M48A2 displayed here had upgrades that strengthened performance and offered better protection for the crew.

M48 series tanks were used by the U.S. Army in Vietnam and with the Israeli Army in the 1967 Six-Day War. They are obsolete today but can still be found in the arsenals of some foreign nations. They were replaced by the M60 tank, which was essentially an improved M48.
