The need for more fields in the north central part of town was met by this complex. Richard "Goose" Gossage was a baseball "closer" pitcher who grew up in town and went on to make nine All-Star appearances and pitched in three World Series. The Youth Sports Complex on Mark Dabling Blvd. also has concessions, soccer fields, lights, handicapped access, a maintenance building, restrooms, scoreboards, a skateboard facility, and a BMX area.
