In the late '60s and early '70s, the State of Hawaii seems to have done a survey of Oahu. It looks like they placed primary markers that made it into the NGS database (like 2-3), and then ran auxiliary ones from them (like 2-3H). This is one of them.

This disk is located in the sidewalk on the south side of Ala Moana Blvd. The mark is across the street from the east end of Ward Center (currently a Borders).
