The artist Achim Kiel created for the Volksbank Braunschweig the artwork "The Crayons".
The crayons were meters of steel pipe, diameter about 800 mm, with a total length of 22 meter and an individual weight of 3 tons, as specified by the artist, having calculated the structural engineer ready-made surface treatments including-
prepared to act.
The pins form a V from every angle, even from above - the hallmark of the bank from which they stand.

Der Künstler Achim Kiel erschuff für die Volksbank Braunschweig das Kunstwerk "Die Buntstifte".
Die Buntstifte wurden aus Stahlrohr, Durchmesser ca.800 mm, mit einer gesamt Länge von 22 m und einem Einzelgewicht von 3 Tonnen, nach Vorgabe des Künstlers und nach Berechnung des Statikers fix und fertig incl. Oberflächenbehandlung hergestellt.
Die Stifte bilden aus jedem Winkel ein V, selbst von oben - das Markenzeichen der Bank vor der sie stehen.
