Other than this house being built in the early history of Austin, and having survived the wear and tear, and commercial growth of the city over the century, the only remarkable thing said about it is that it had additions and renovations and it had Eastlake ornimentations added to the porch. The comment about the ornimentations is probably the most significant issue for why this house has been given a Texas historical marker (#12736) and was also entered into the National Registry of Historic Places (#98000449). The Henry and Bertha Ziller family lived in the house until Henry's death in 1924 and his relatives kept the house for another 15 years before selling it. It is a nice looking house and is in a mature, respected neighborhood.
