The clock is on the front face of the memorial hall. The clock is surrounded by a white painted disc of a similar design to the lintels and portico of the memorial hall, indicating that the 1887 date on the clock is applicable to both building and clock. The memorial hall would be built to commemorate the Jubilee of Queen Victoria.
