The monument is located on the grounds of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, the religious center of the "Greek Town" immigrant area of Salt Lake City. The plaque is inscribed:

In addition to the other memorial plaques on this monument, a tour of the Byzantine Revival style Cathedral is awe inspiring and the Hellenic (Greek) Cultural Museum is located here also. The result is an almost total immersion in Greek culture and history. During the first or second weekend in September a large part of this block comes alive with the annual Greek Festival.

Description of Memorial:
This memorial is one of a group of memorials on a single monument on the grounds of Holy Trinity Cathedral. Memorialized are the founders of the Greek Orthodox Church community in Utah, miners who died in a coal mine explosion in Carbon County in 1924, and Greek workers who died in industrial accidents (most related to mining).
