DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1943 IN MERCEDES. BENCH MARK IS AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF SOUTH TEXAS AVENUE AND THIRD STREET, SET VERTICALLY IN THE NORTH WALL OF A BRICK STORE BUILDING. IT IS 51.4 FEET EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF SOUTH TEXAS AVENUE, 4.3 FEET WEST OF THE WEST EDGE OF A PLATE GLASS WINDOW AND 2.8 FEET ABOVE THE SIDEWALK. A DISK SET IN DRILL HOLE.
