49ers.com - Santa Clara, CA - Readable From Above on Waymarking.com

I spotted this while flying into the San Jose Airport recently. Near the Great America Amusement Park is the San Francisco 49ers training camp in Santa Clara, California. One of the buildings near their practice fields has "49ers.com" written on a flat-roofed building. Because the roof is flat, the letters are not visible from ground level.

The normal take-off pattern for planes from the SJC airport is toward and over San Francisco Bay. Shortly after take-off, from the the right side of the plane, one can spot the Great America Amusement Park by the many roller coasters and tall blue observation tower. The 49ers training camp is very close by and recognizable by the three side-by-side football fields and the nearby soccer fields.

If the bad weather flight pattern is in use at SJC, planes take off in the opposite direction. In this case planes landing at SJC approach from over the San Francisco Bay and this building can be seen from the left side of the plane. Look for the athletic fields right after spotting a large golf course as the plane comes off the san Francisco Bay.
