Protest Sit-In Soda Fountain - Wichita, KS - Roadside Attractions on Waymarking.com

This sculpture (titled Soda Fountain) by artist Georgia Gerber is located outdoors in downtown Wichita, near the former Woolworth's store. Shown is a typical soda fountain at the time, complete with about 10 bar stools, an array of condiments on the counter, and customers. An older man with a young boy is sitting on one side, and a woman is sitting on the other. The adults are facing the waitress behind the counter, and the child is swinging in his seat, looking in the opposite direction.

Soda Fountain is located on the south side of Douglas, between Main and Broadway, It is tucked away in a courtyard between two buildings, with several other fun sculptures that the kids will enjoy seeing.
