This armed felon is hidden from view but in attack posture at an auto part salvage yard. Don't even think about trespassing!

This sculpture is similar to the others, it is red and made of gears and funny looking with long jointed arms and legs but with one notable exception, he is armed. He is holding a firearm in his right hand. The man is located to the inside right of the front gate but hidden from view by a yew and the fence. My favorite part, aside from a weapon is the shock absorbers used for his legs.

Welcome to EL&M Auto Recycling & home of amazing auto part sculptures. They are everywhere! This is also a featured site on Roadside America. There is a diverse menagerie of characters, insects, flora & fauna and a whole cast of characters.

As for the rest of the sculpture garden, there is a fantastic collection of auto part sculptures located in the front. This is one of three junk yards mentioned on the Roadside Attractions website (which is how I discovered this), this one being the most impressive and prolific. The sculptures range from large to small, some are isolated and some are in groups. Most are people-based but a few are insects, plants and an angry dog which frightened me!

The folks running the counter gave me permission to walk around and snap photos. The people in the office wanted to make very clear that these sculptures are the furthest one can go. Anything further back is off-limits for insurance reasons and you are asked to not go back there. They also told me the person who made these used to work here but has been gone for a long time.
