A gazebo has been located at this intersection for more than one hundred years. It is used as the Ontario Community Bandstand named in honor of R. Jack Mercer, a long time conductor of the Chaffey High School band and now the Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band. The Bandstand was refurbished by the Kiwanis Club and dedicated in October 1997 and rededicated with its new name on July 4, 2001.

The gazebo is located in the median of State Route 83, (Euclid Avenue) which is the Euclid Avenue Parkway. The city stages a Concerts in the Parks Series in the summer and it is available for use by reservation through the city parks department.
