Hafer Park's Duck Pond and Fountain is a very popular spot among locals. There is a pavilion for picnicking, nearby playgrounds, and lots of ducks in the pond to watch.
Several years ago the city put a barrier around the pond because of a big problem with erosion. There are miles of walkways in the park, leading right around the pond/fountain area.
Hafer Park also boasts a performance stage, sand volleyball court, baseball fields, four pavilions available for rent, round climbing wall, and several playgrounds.
