The plaque reads: "This field is declared to the memory of Will LaFranchi, an enthusiastic coach and supported of little league baseball and a devoted family man. He was a lifelong dairyman, commited to the preservation of the rural Nicasio Valley. He was a St Mary's parishioner and served as a lifelong school trustee. Will LaFranchi was a friend to all."
