"Valejo and Akashi Sister City Anniversary Commemorative Monument. October 9, 1988. in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the sister city relationship between the cities of Vallejo and Akshi. This sundial is presented from the city of Akashi , Japan, which is located on the 135th degree of East longitude, and symbolizes her heartfelt attachment for the Japan standard time meridian."
The sundial is in front of the Vallejo Ferry Terminal.
