With an old Police sign at its heart for a very special reason, this peaceful garden is surrounded by a hedge. It contains dedicated trees, benches and plaques. A Chestnut tree is planted at the entrance which was grown from a conker from Drayton Manor Park; the former home of Robert Peel who founded the modern police force.
Sponsored by the Police Credit Union the garden is a very special place to spend some time. Mandy Rayner is commemorated on the seat and lamp, being the first woman police officer and the youngest killed in the line of duty. The lamp stood at Hitchin Police Station in Hertfordshire.
