Originally displayed as part of the 2007 Sculpture Walk in a downtown Kingsport traffic circle, this piece was purchased in 2008 and first relocated to the grounds of the Renaissance Center. In 2011, it was again relocated to the newly constructed traffic circle on Gibson Mill Road.reference

The artist, Glenn Zweygardt, lists this piece as "Blue Note Hexagon" and being 14'H X 6'L X 3'D. We also learn from his website that "Kansas born, Zweygardt earned the BFA degree from Wichita State in 1967. He received the MFA from the Maryland Institute of Art in 1969 and is an emeritus Professor of Sculpture at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Zweygardt works independently in his immense workshop in Alfred Station, New York." link
