Bells are installed in the large courtyard, where they create a conspicuous feature over the castle well, and they enliven the somewhat austere but impressive surroundings. They form a chime consisting of 15 bells weighing from 16 to 220 kg, which were cast by Laetitie Dytrychová in Brodek u Prerova. The relief on the bells is the work of the sculptor Otmar Oliva. The chime plays one of 32 music compositions every whole hour. The chime plays from 9 am. till 6 pm.

Zvonkohra na brnenském Špilberku byla vyrobena v roce 1990 ve zvonarské dílne Loetitie Dytrychové v Brodku u Prerova. Tvorí ji soustava 15ti ruzne velkých zvonu; nejmenší váží 16 kg, ten nejvetší 220 kg.
Autorem figurální výzdoby velkého zvonu a umeleckého ztvárnení erbu mesta Brna na menších zvonech je akademický sochar Otmar Oliva. Zvony jsou uchyceny napevno, hýbou se pouze jejich srdce. Puvodne byla zvonkohra urcena pro prucelí domu na Novobranské (vedle Menínské brány). Zvonkohru si lze poslechnout každý den vždy v celou hodinu od 9 do 18 hodin. V pocítaci je naprogramováno 32 melodií, které zvonkohra strídave hraje.
