In downtown Fredericksburg, VA, a war memorial honors the area's veterans from World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the War on Terror (Iraq and Afghanistan). The names of soldiers who fell during service are etched into the six granite pillars of a semi-circular monument.

Leading to the FALLEN HEROES monument on each side is the Walk of Honor. The Walk of Honor is paved with donated bricks bearing the names of veterans who were ineligible for inclusion on the monument.
