"This field is dedicated to Tony Sanchez, known to the softball community as Mr Softball. Tony devoted his working life to provide our youth and adults with first class softball programs while serving the city of Santa Clara parks and recreation sports coordinator from 1967-2007. The city of Santa Clara, the police activities league, the amateur softball association of America and the sports association of Northern California recreation agencies join softball players from around the world in thanking Tony for his commitment and love of the game."
