Bloomfield Public Library - Bloomfield, Iowa - posted by SecurB

The Bloomfield Public Library was build using a $10,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie on November 21, 1911.  The library was dedicated August 8, 1913.  It was designed by architect Wetherell & Gage of Des Moines, Iowa in a Arts & Crafts cottage style built of tapestry brick with Bedford stone trimmings, timbered gables and red tile roof.  The building is well maintained and remains much as it did when constructed and it continues to serve as the library for the community of Bloomfield.
