A lot of these pieces are themed, colorful complicated pieces of art. This one is just the opposite, but also themed. The sculpture appears to be made entirely of suspension parts like springs, coils, shocks, struts and other items which make a car's ride bearable and comfortable. The sculpture is blue with a rather small head which makes it pretty comical.
Peterson's Service Station is a local business located on a remote section of the White Horse Pike (Rt. 30). It seems there are several garages and part businesses all very close to this one and all boasting their own original sculptures. These sculptures were made by mechanic and resident artist, Tom Peterson.
