The memorial consists of a stone monument of three stones. The center stone is the largest of the three and is flanked by the two smaller stones offset at an angle. The front of the stone lists all veterans from Hale County in the each of the 20th century wars. On the back of the monument each veteran who is also a member of the American Legion.
