This boundary marker is located near the old East Entrance to Crater Lake National Park. To reach this marker start from The Pinnacles Overlook and follow the Pinnacles trail eastward for about a third of a mile to the park boundary sign. The marker is about 50 feet beyond the sign at the edge of the trail, set in a concrete filled pipe rising about 12 inches above ground surface. The cap is marked GENERAL LAND OFFICE, CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK, BOUNDARY LINE POST NO. 96. Most likely dates to the first boundary survey (possibly 1904) after the park was established in 1902.
