Iron Mountain Gap is also intersected by the Applachian Trail running along the ridge and the state border, thus make an excellent access point for hikers - and on this October weekend, deer bow hunters.
The coords must be good, because Google Maps changes road name right there showing Tennessee 107 to the NW and N Carolina 226 to the NE as the crossing is in a road bend.
