Historic photo copied from "Illustrated History, York; York Co., Nebraska," by C. H. Page and H.M. Crawford, published in 1903. The church is also waymarked in "This Old Church" ( WMPBN ) and "Dated Buildings and Cornerstones" (WM57Z8 ).

The west window in the church was donated by the local G.A.R. post; the trees on the west side of the church currently make it difficult to view. The tall chimneys and spire on the corner bell tower visible in the historic photo have been removed.
