Description: A full-length figure of a Confederate cavalryman about to draw his sword. He stands with his proper right hand reaching across his waist and holding the handle by his proper left side, the sheath held by his proper left hand. The soldier is in uniform, he has a moustache and wears a wide-brimmed hat and boots, and stands with his proper right foot forward. The sculpture is mounted upon a castellated pedestal set upon a two-tiered, rough-cut base.
