The main view into Bournemouth takes in Boscombe pier in the foreground, Bournemouth pier and the promenade lighting gently illuminates the sea. The main hubbub of Bournemouth town displays the majority of the lights but the whole coastline appears as the bay sweeps round to Sandbanks where the chain ferry sleeps and Swanage lies across the bay in the Purbeck Hills.
The view to the east is towards Hengistbury Head. The full moon highlights the calm sea and the clouds gathering overhead.
The area is fully accessible to everyone with a fence between the clifftop and the beach below. Night time varies with the year and seasons but best views can be seen after 10pm. Fisherman's Walk leads down to the promenade.
