The congregation has been around since 1898, but the building is just a bit newer, having been built in 1926. This cornerstone is on the right side, way over in the corner, far from the main entrance in an area that looks like a wing of some sort.

Ocean City Baptist Church was formed in 1898 when a pastor and 28 members from an area church recognized the need for a ministry in Ocean City. After moving several times through its early years, it found its permanent home in 1926 on the corner of 10th Street and Wesley Avenue.
