A monument located in the Tazewell, TN., Irish memorial cemetery honoring the Confederate dead.

Marker text reads:
"Sacred to the memory of unknown confederate dead who laid down their lives among strangers for the lost cause."
Footstone reads:
"Rebuilt and rededicated by the Sons of Confederate Veterans June 3, 2000."
The restoration project was led by Randy Bailey, who as most of you know was a strong support of the Claiborne County Cemetery Restoration project that centered around the Confederate Monument in the Irish Memorial Cemetery.
I could not find alot of information about the history of this monument. If you have additional information about this memorial that you would like to share please let me know and I will post what information you have.
