Several stone insigna on the building reveal many dates, which a probably from earlier structures, and whose dated stone markers were salvaged and displayed as mementos in the newer structure
Wilkingsburg used to be an economically vibrant community in the days of industrial production in the early 1900s, but from 1980 on, it has fallen in a state of abandonment, disrepair, with entire city blocks delapidated.
