Sterling State Park is a modern campground for every kind of camping from tent to the largest RV. The campsites are generously sized and electrical hookups are available at some sites. The campground was recently renovated and the rest rooms are modern and have private showers! On our visit, we found our neighbors friendly and respectful of fellow campers.
There are only small young trees on the site, and they do not provide shade. A shade awning in suggested but lake breezes may keep the camp cool and comfortable.
Choose your site carefully. Some sites are near the shore and have a lake view. Others get a lovely view of a nearby power plant. You can use an online satellite view to preview your location.
Campsites cost $22.00 and up per night, depending on amenities.
There are picnicking, hiking, boating and other park activities available here. We found Sterling to be one of the nicest campgrounds we have been at and we hope to return.
