The Shirley Theater is currently being used as a church, but still has some of the character from its former life.

The Shirley was built in 1925 with seating for 500. It operated as a theater beyond 1950, but was eventually closed and now serves as the Covington Baptist Temple. The original doorway, ticket window and facade are still visible, but the marquee has been replaced by an awning.
