Description: "2 MI E FROM ROGERSVILLE. 2.0 MILES EAST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 70 AND U.S. HIGHWAY 11 FROM ROGERSVILLE, HAWKINS COUNTY, IN THE CENTER OF A GRASS TRIANGLE FORMED BY THE JUNCTION OF THE HIGHWAYS, AND ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE HAWKINS COUNTY MEMORIAL MILESTONE. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED B 55 1934 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 8 INCHES ABOVE GROUND."

Found as described. Plenty of parking. Couple of picnic tables.

Base of a missing TN historical marker to the south of the BM. Per Touring the East Tennesse Backroads by Carolyn Sakowski (page 145), this marker was for Chisholm's Ford, which is located 3.5 miles SE on the Holston River.
