The station is located about 14 mi (22.5 km) south of Colorado City, 10 mi (16.1 km) north-northwest of Walsenburg and just south of the Huerfano River, in the southeast 1/4 of section 25, t 26 s, r 67 w, at Interstate 25 milepost 59.2. Ownership--Colorado Dept. of Transportation right-of-way to reach the station from the intersection of Interstate 25 (exit 59) and Butte Road, go north on the western access road for 0.4 mi (0.6 km) to the Azimuth Mark on the left at a jog in the fence the mark is a standard Azimuth Mark disk set in a round 25 cm concrete post flush with the ground. It is 52.2 m (171.3 ft) south from an automated weather station, 16.5 m (54.1 ft) west from the center line of the western access road, 3.1 m (10.2 ft) west from the fence corner nearest the road, 2.85 m (9.35 ft) northeast from a fence corner, 1.1 m (3.6 ft) south from a witness post and about the same elevation as Interstate 25.

Your Directions: From either North or South bound Interstate 25, exit 59 (Butte Road) Travel north on the western access road for 0.4 mi to the end of the paved road. The Azimuth Mark will be on your left at a jog in the fence.
It is 171.3 ft south from an automated weather station, 10.2 ft west from the fence corner nearest the road, 9.35 ft northeast from a fence corner, 3.6 ft south from a witness post and about the same elevation as Interstate 25.
