This is one of six all-volunteer fire companies within the township. The company operates two stations, this one on Robbins Street and a second on Cardinal Drive.
The station was constructed in 1913 and rebuilt in 1959. It was recently renamed for Henry Runco, a member of Toms River #1 Company who died from a coronary in 1981 after returning to the station from a fire.
