Formerly called the Cairo Baptist Church now the Mighty Rivers Regional Worship Center was founded in 1880. They moved into Turner Hall located on this site in 1881. With the fast growth of Cairo at the time, they soon needed a larger church building. A brick building was built on the site and was completed in 1894. This brick building was damaged by a fire in 1897 and was rebuilt and reopened in 1898. The building has an interesting minaret looking roof line.
