One of the two main access points between Kingsport, TN and Virginia, the four-lane Highway TN93 necks down to two lanes through the gap to connect to two-lane VA224 which then leads to US58 (heading to Weber City or Bristol). There is a Valero gas station in the gap on the Virginia side.
