The John Logan Statue in Grant Park was designed by the great August Saint-Gaudens with the assistance of Alexander Phimster Proctor (he did the horse), and unveiled in 1897.

FYI: On August 29, 1968, protestors swarmed the statue during the Democratic National Convention being held in Chicago.
