Definitely a basket quilt pattern - note the plywood sheet is hung at a 45 degree angle as these baskets would normally be seen at a slant. This painted block is on a smaller building than the full sized barn. Probably cannot be seen from I-26 southbound, but can be observed from a geocache placed to draw you here. Took better close-up photos by walking into the side yard.
Update: New NE Quilt Trail bulletin provides the name "Basket of Chips" located at Homestead Farm at 3213 Homestead Avenue, Johnson City, 37604.
