The Norwood Post Office building is a brick building with stone/concrete structures as trimming. There are three brick archways in the front; the main entrance is the through the center arch.

Near the roof are the words, "United States Post Office."

Just above the central door arch are the raised words, "Norwood, MA 02062."

Above and on either side of the central arch is a shield with a winged column commonly found on national government buildings.

On the top right and left corners are reliefs of eagles.

Information on the artist was not found. The cornerstone on the front of the building to the northeast of the entrance area says that William G. Upham was the architect of this building, and if the ornaments are original to the building, then they were set around 1933.
