This sign is in the Arthur L. Menzies California Garden area of the larger Botanical Garden. The map has to be thoroughly detailed because the trails and intersecting roads are very confusing (and unmarked at most junctions). While I was there, a couple studied the map and got oriented well enough to head back to the main gate,
