This is the building in Wilmington, NC use as a police station in the movie "Blue Velvet". 'Detective Williams' played by George Dickerson and 'Detective Tom Gordon' work in this police station. In the beginning of the film the main character 'Jeffrey' played by Kyle MacLachlan finds an ear in a field and brings it to the police station to see Detective Williams.
This building previously served as the police station for the city of Wilmington. It's one of the few remaining office buildings from back when this section of downtown was a huge train station.
