FROM THE POST OFFICE IN BLOUNTVILLE, GO 3.8 MILES WEST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 11W TO THE Y JUNCTION OF A PAVED ROAD LEADING WEST, TURN LEFT, WEST, AND GO 0.3 MILE TO A BRICK SCHOOL ON THE LEFT. THE BENCH MARK DISK IS CEMENTED VERTICALLY IN A DRILL HOLE IN THE NORTH FACE OF THE SCHOOL, 2 FT. WEST OF THE WEST EDGE OF THE BUILDING AND 2.9 FT. ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE GROUND.

Sullivan County school board closed this Gunnings school for special students in order to save a few bucks. The fence gate on the south side was not locked, so was able to take a good close-up shot.
