The county's first public library opened in 1939 and has continued ever since. The library moved across the street in 1977, from 203 N. Allegheny St.(now the museum part) to 200 N. Allegheny St. Hours posted are for M-R, Friday 9 AM - 6 PM, Sat 9 AM-5PM, Sun 1-5 PM.
