From the website:

This trail is a good trail for beginners and intermediate riders who wish for some fun wooded sections with a few short climbs, dry creek crossings, switchbacks through rolling fields and some flat, fast single/double track. This trail is an "out and back", two-way trail so be mindful and watchful of on-coming riders and hikers.

When beginning at 377 trail head, you start with the most technical section of trail as it consists of a few twisty short climbs that are either rooty or have some gravelly rocks on them. Three landmarks in this section are Goat Killers Hill, Growler's Drop and The Wall.

After about 1.5 miles, you get out of the woods and enter the marsh area that is flat and winding through tall grasses. You will have a short, rocky climb out of that section and enter the switchbacks on the rolling hills that are covered with wildflowers during spring and summer.

A few wooden benches are placed throughout this section for those who wish to take a break and enjoy the scenery. A herd of longhorn cattle roam this section of the trail and may at times be leisurely grazing on or near the trail (don't worry, they'll usually mooove for you).

A short section of tall, marsh grasses completes this section until you make a right turn into the woods for another bit of singletrack. Exiting out of the woods is a short, rocky climb and some open field singletrack ending at Pocahontas Road. Turn around and come back through it all.

The trail is approximately 5 miles long, making a 10 mile "out and back" trip. Time for most average intermediate riders is just under one hour. Water is not available on the trail or at the trailheads. Please do not litter on the trail by leaving tubes or food packages on the trail. A trash receptacle is located at the 377 trailhead.
