The Thames Valley Trail runs 109 kilometers from the Elgin/Middlesex County line to the town of St. Mary's. Along its route it crosses farmland, flood plain, forested tracts, and passes through the city of London following multi-use pathways.
The main portion of the trail is blazed with white rectangular blazes, 15 cm high by 5 cm wide.
The Elgin Trail runs south from this point through the McCaig bush, and continues for approximately 40 kilometers to Port Stanley.
Parking at this trailhead is limited to the shoulders of Southdel Drive.
