STATEMENT: The goddess will emerge from a marble pedestal, which begins to break away in pieces and reveals the beautiful greens and fauna, which are abundant in this area. Arising through the gardens appears some recognizable architecture and other features from Trumbull County. She has a metallic appearance covered by vines.
Patterned after similar events including Chicago’s Cows, Cleveland’s Guitars and Youngstown’s Penguins – A Spectacle of Speed featured the fabulous hood ornament from the Packard automobile, the Goddess of Speed. This icon was selected due to its connection to the community’s history.
